The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office SRD focused on service the area daily. The assistance position made for intervention activities a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes status sassa it hard to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
